SPECIAL EVENTS
Everyone knows that fall is not complete without a festival to celebrate the changing of the leaves, the chill in the air and of course, Halloween! Here at Froehlich's Farm we are excited to host our annual Froehlich's Farm Fall Festival on Saturdays and Sundays in October. Enjoy a hayride around our 100-acre farm, get lost in our corn maze, find the perfect pumpkin in our pick your own patch, choose your favorite pony for a ride, build your own scarecrow, win prizes, warm up with some hot cider and roast some s'mores. Plus, we offer pony rides, kid activities, food, live music and more.   Montgomery County's Best Kept Secrets Tour, from October 13 through October 29, is an unusual shopping, food, and fun adventure featuring 32 off-the-beaten path businesses, hand-picked for their uniqueness. Set up like a home or garden tour, you will travel place to place, in your own vehicle, enjoying all the special free things (refreshments, games, gifts, demos, workshop tours, etc.) the businesses have planned for you. Plus, each place has given you a valuable coupon. Your ticket is valid the entire time - do what you can in a day or go every day - it is up to you. The stores are located in and around Montgomery County, but if you follow our path you will never travel more than 15 miles between places and most are closer together. Tickets are $9 each - $1 per ticket is donated to RSVP, a non-profit organization in Montgomery County.   The Bucks County Choral Society launches its 44th season this fall with a spectacular pairing of two works for choir and orchestra. Mozart?s ?Requiem in D Minor? and ?A Child?s Requiem? by Lehigh University Professor of Music, Steven Sametz, will be presented in a concert titled Hope and Remembrance. Riverside Symphonia and the Princeton Girlchoir will join the one hundred voice Choral Society for the occasion. Settings of the Latin Requiem often exert a strong pull on us not because they bring sadness, but because of the music?s cathartic power to lead us to hope and reassurance in an often frightening world. For our opening concert, we have paired two requiems, one very old and familiar (the beloved Mozart Requiem) and one very new, related directly to a recent tragedy (A Child?s Requiem by Steven Sametz). We will be joined by soprano Clara Rottsolk, tenor David Vanderwal, the Princeton Girlchoir, and the Riverside Symphonia. This concert is part of our community partnership,   The Society for Metaphysical Enlightenment invites participants to tune up their body, mind and spirit and experience the love of higher consciousness at the Second Annual Spiritfest Expo and Holistic Fair from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 22 and 23, at the New Hope Eagle Firehouse. This is a happy, joyful, festive, fun event of like-minded people of a high consciousness. Feel the energy similar to an adult version of the flower power 50's and 60's. If you dress up for Halloween and surprise us, we will surprise you. Special guest speaker presentations on metaphysical topics will be available for free made every hour. Area psychic readers and medium, plus energy healers, along with mind/body therapists and holistic practitioners, will offer massage and stress management techniques and many more healing modalities. New age products, aroma and holographic therapies, artwork, jewelry and crystals will also be displayed for purchase, along with a natural food court.   Truly a Great Day of Fitness and Fun For Everyone!...
